What Does Your Birthday Predict About You? [Mar. 11th, 2009|08:25 pm]

Your Birthdate Predicts You're Fearless
Ever since you were born, you've always been able to assert yourself.
You are confident in carving your own path. Soon enough, other people will be persuaded and follow along.

You are driven and competitive to the point of being impulsive. You'll do just about anything to win.
It drives you crazy when you have to stay still in life. You are too dynamic to stay stagnant.

Update on My Lump [Feb. 18th, 2009|06:33 pm]
harry4
I had a mammogram and ultrasound done today! It was all digital so I got to see the images right away. I'm glad I'm not a woman and have to go through that every year! No pain just the clamping down and body positions. I guess it's different for women since they have more to work with.

This is the Shocker! I didn't know that the doctor there was going to give me results!

The good news is that there is no cancer, and there are no tumors or cysts. It is glandular tissue like women have to produce milk. The area is tender but there is nothing visible on the skin.

I have to wait until the clinic where I got the tests done sends the official results to my doctor. Then she will treat me for this condition.

So this is a blow to my masculinity which I hate! I still need to read and better understand what the options are to get this corrected. But I'm dealing with it the best I can!

My Lump [Feb. 12th, 2009|04:22 pm]
harry4
About ten days a go I noticed a lump on my chest near my right areola. I went to the doctor for that and for a new prescription. She gave me an antibiotic because I'm a guy she thought that it might just be an ingrown hair. She said that sometimes it happens that the hair grows in below the skin. This wasn't like you could see any thing on the skin. I can feel the thing about a half an inch in diameter below the skin.

It should have been gone by yesterday if it was the hair thing. So now I have an appointment with her tomorrow. She she said I would probably need a mammogram and I'm not sure what else to look and see what it is. The scary thing is that women aren't the only ones that can get breast cancer! So I'm really anxious right now!

When I saw rhis article I had to share it!

Givenchy's Tisci goes darker with S&M men's show
Friday, January 23, 2009

PARIS (AP) The king of Goth just got darker. Riccardo Tisci delivered a strong, kinky menswear collection on Friday that was infused with a medieval S&M sensibility.

The clothing showed for the Givenchy 2009-2010 winter was tight, cinched onto the body with not-so-comfy looking laces and almost menacing straps.

Models appeared poured into the leather pants, which were studded with laces up the front and zipped up the back to the knee. Woolen sweaters that look perfectly conventional from the front were cut out into a striking pattern of straps on the back.

One model wore a sweater whose loose knit evoked chain-mail. The footwear, mostly knee-high boots, also took its cue from knights and was made, like armor, out of articulated strips.

Layering, a theme at Belgian designer Kris Van Assche's show, was also a major element here. Tisci layered shorts over thick black leg-warmers with vertical and horizontal ribs and sent out shearling jackets over featherweight sweaters.

Only the last few looks in the collection, three slim, well-tailored suits, made a stab at being conventionally marketable. The rest was pure id.

Loss [Aug. 29th, 2006|05:53 pm]

I can't believe that she's gone!
We were together for 15 years! She hasn't been well over that past several days. She had diffculty breathing nad was probably in pain. But she couldn't tell me. After all she was only my cat, Patches. I got an appointment at the vet for her in the afternoon and my one and only Vito was driving while I held Patches in my arms. But as we were nearing the the vet Patches went frantic. I tried to calm her done thinking she was just scared. She was an indoor cat that almost never went outside. As I finally got her to calm down she went limp and passed away in my arms. We had just stopped at a light when this all happened. Vito had just looked back at me as she went limp. He says to me "She didn't" and I nodded yes.
As we sat at home that evening I kept looking up expecting to see Patches but she's gone! She will be burried at Bubbling Well in Napa valley a beautiful Pet Cemetary.
Patches was a companion much like a child that needed my care. She was always there in my times of happiness and when I was extremely sad or lonely.
I'll miss using her special code words like "some". Which meant her soft food that she got for her dinner.
She was one smart cat she would do her shake paw trick to get her treats in the morning.
I know that I'm starting to ramble so I'll close for now.

Talk about a busy weekend! [Aug. 22nd, 2005|01:02 pm]

As many of you know my bf Vito and I are getting ready to move so much of Saturday was spent packing and selecting things that we don't want to move. Then after Vito finished work we drove 2 hours to his hometown to see his parents so that they could celebrate his birthday. We did it a bit early because we are going to be moving around the time of Vito's birthday and a trip to his parents would be too difficult to handle! So Vito and going on almost no sleep. We had a really cool day we visited some friends and his parents took us out to lunch for his birthday. Then in the evening we did the cake with his family and a few friends. We didn't get home to San Jose until after 2AM. We went to bed and I had to get up early today to go to work! So far work has been really busy for me today! I've got to get back to work now!

Full of Love! [Aug. 16th, 2005|12:01 pm]

Yesterday I proposed to my boyfriend Vito and of course he said YES! It's his birthday on the 31st and I had planned to do it then but we are getting ready to move the week after his b-day. I bought his ring yesterday and couldn't wait! Plus trying to hide something for two weeks when you are packing and getting ready to move is just not wise. After all it might get packed or even worse lost! A few weeks ago I did something stupid and asked him what his ring size was. He has several rings but non are properly fitted to his wedding ring finger. I decided that since I let the cat out of the bag we would look at some online catalogs and find a style that he liked. He thought that he was getting just a promise ring without diamonds. He even found a white gold ring that he really like at Tiffanys! I actually found a similar style with 3 diamonds at another store that actually looked better in my opinion! He loves the ring! We have to go in today and get it sized to his finger. It is the standard size 10 (my size) so we have to get it sized to fit his more petite finger. We don't actually plan to have our wedding ceremony for at least another year! Last night he called all of his friends and family back home to tell them the good news! He even wore the ring to work last night to show it off! He said that there were a few envious people there that made a few off color comments but most people congratulated him.
